Continuing with the Best of 2009 Challenge

December 24 Learning experience. What was a lesson you learned this year that changed you?

December 25 Gift. What’s a gift you gave yourself this year that has kept on giving?

December 26 Insight or aha! moment. What was your epiphany of the year?

This one is simple, and the answer is the same for all three prompts:

Writing is, and always should be, fun. (If it’s not, I’m doing it wrong.)

I could elaborate, but… why? Sometimes the best lessons are the simple ones, the best gifts are the small ones, the best insights are the obvious ones.

Merry Xmas, y’all! And if you don’t celebrate Xmas, well, don’t tell this little doggie, okay? ;)

Hey, right back at you. Happy new year! Very cute card. Reminds me of my favorite golden, Lacy, except she’s not so smart.

I hope you have a Merry Christmas! And, your post, today…well said! : )

Writing should ALWAYS be fun! (That’s why I ditched my outline idea and just started writing, again. If I need to fix errors…I’ll just do it later.)

Hope you have a very Happy New Year!

    Thanks, all!

    And Kimberly
LOL yeah, I’ve done that too. I’m not saying I’ll never use outlines, but I think I am still figuring out what methods work best for me. Also, outlining in my head feels very different from outlining on paper/screen.

Yea, I completely agree. I can outline (kind of brainstorm) in my head all day long and that never gets frustrating. I’ve found that when I do that, the ideas that I come up with are much better than trying to actually outline my story.

Good luck with your writing and you submission for TwentySomewhere!
