Born and raised in Houston, TX, I decided to be a writer after taking a Study Skills class during the summer between 3rd and 5th grade. (Yes, I skipped 4th grade, and yes, I was one of those kids.) One of our assignments was to write an essay about the most beautiful place we had ever been, and for me at the time, that was New Park in Taipei, Taiwan. Ever since I saw that bright red A+ on the top of my paper, I’ve known: this is what I want to do.
Since that day, I’ve gone to many other beautiful places (Italy, Japan, the East Coast, the West Coast, West Texas, Canada, Mexico, France, my favorite of all–Spain, and many more) and I’ve fallen in love with all the amazing stories encountered along the way. Sometimes I capture them in my words or in my camera, but mostly I try to capture them in my heart and carry them with me.

I’m 22 years old, a proud and happy graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, and currently living, working, and writing in Cincinnati, OH. I’m also highly emotional and opinionated, and a little obsessed with my pupster Riley. But just a little.
And as my friend Jimbo kindly reminded me, I like cookie bunnies.
