Oh the places still left to go…

If you are in (or visiting) Cincinnati, GO HERE NOW:

Space 513

Also GO THERE NOW if you just like neat stuff, because it’s tré cool. I’d love to do something similar (maybe for Houston? or Pittsburgh?) but, um, I have stories to write and people who will yell at me if I don’t…

Quick update

1. Riley passed. Totally didn’t deserve to, but his trainer (Steve) is awesome, and we all agree he’ll probably deserve to pass legitimately in a few months.

2. I am about two seconds away from buying a Macbook Air on impulse. MUST. CONTROL. THE URGE.

From the movie Miss Potter:

There’s something quite delicious about writing the first words of a story.

For the record

Eat Drink Man Woman is a GREAT movie!!

Very Asian, very cute, very real, very unexpected endings.

I should keep it in mind for The Good Daughters revision… Aiya, that stupid revision is going to kill me.

SO. ME.

As Andy will groan and tell you, this is SO ME:

(No, seriously.)

Also, this one’s just hilarious:

Capture Cincinnati

Tuesday July 22, 2008 - filed Filed under: Random

I’m sure they do it for like every city, but a coworker told me about Capture Cincinnati and I thought it was pretty cool. There are some really great photos there, so check ‘em out. (And yes, disclosure: I decided to participate.)

I tried to resist, but after 10 bajillion people mentioned it in their blogs, I caved. I am 10 bajillion and 1.

As of today, I got JBU up and running, so I now blog here, there, at iluv2read, and potentially at The Dieline.

Folks, this is what happens when you give your daughter her first computer at age two and a half.

How come my thoughts aren’t this poetic and eloquent?

Sunday July 13, 2008 - filed Filed under: Random

Allow me to present a wonderful excerpt from a wonderful post by a wonderful person.

being in a relationship has a state of permanence- can’t i base my falling in love on a moment-by-moment basis? by labeling you “boyfriend” and me “girlfriend, we have placed each other in roles that demand (by rules of society) that we are faithful to our relationship during every moment that we are officially calling ourselves a couple. faithful not just physically, but in everything we do and how everyone describes you as mine and me as yours. i want, instead, to tell you that in this moment, i am in love with you. the next moment doesn’t matter, and the moment before it might not either. i just want you to hold this moment and know how i feel about you right now.
