Oooh did you participate or just watch? :)

  3. Jon Avatar

Very cool pictures. What are the choir games?

  4. Shari Avatar

It looks like a beautiful place!

Nice pictures. Did you get to go? I missed it, but loved hearing all the great recaps of houw friendly Cincinnatians were to our world guests. It sounds like it was fantastic.

    Tessa-
    Definitely just watched, haha.

    Jon-
They used to be called the Choir “Olympics.” So just what you’d imagine: choirs from around the world competing for gold/silver/bronze in various categories. Show, chamber, “scenic folk,” barbershop quartet, etc.

    Juliann-
We did! We attended the final Champions Concert. That one pic is of emcee Drew Lachey, and the other is from a South African choir’s scenic folk piece. It was SO COOL!

    So was it like Glee?

  8. Kristan Avatar

Well, the show choir was, but since we saw the Champions Concert, we only saw 1 show choir (i.e., the Champions). They did a pretty neat mash-up of stuff though, including “Good Life” by OneRepublic. :)

    Gorgeous photos!

I miss going to Cincinnati. I grew up in Ohio and we’d drive down there to see the Reds :)

I had no idea there was a choir olympics!

I take it these are your photographs? They are really beautiful. You are an artist as well as a writer!

    Sherrie-
You did?! I didn’t know that! (Or if I did, I forgot…) And yeah, we didn’t know there were choir Olympics either, until suddenly they were here. :P

    Michelle-
Yes, they are, and thank you!

Love the filter on these photos. Takes me back to the 70s :) I’ve never been to Cincinnati but these pix make it look glamorous!

Lol I don’t know about “glamorous,” esp not compared to your Bay Area, but it’s shaping up. :)
