May in photos

Over Memorial Day weekend, Andy and I traveled to Los Angeles for the wedding of two of our best friends from college. We made a whirlwind vacation out of it, as we often do. Highlights include: The Getty, Santa Monica, the original Los Angeles Farmers Market (which is really more of a food stall market now), a Warner Bros studio tour, Joshua Tree (very cool but a looooong drive), the wedding itself, the Channel Islands, Disneyland, Manhattan Beach, and last but not least, U2 in concert. Enjoy!

I'm not a fan of hot sunny weather, but this guy is. #grumblepup Strange and lovely. #flowers

Such pretty pictures! I especially love the ocean one. We had to cancel our annual shore trip for this June, so I’m living vicariously through you! :)

Aw, I’m sorry you’re missing your trip this year! Maybe some extra Jasper cuddles will make you feel better? ;)

Nice picture of the coyote! Were you scared?

It’s actually a Channel Island fox! And much smaller than it looks. Like a cat. I wasn’t really scared that it would bite me or anything — just scared that I would startle it!

I’ve only been to California once, and that was last year for SCBWI and it was incredible. I couldn’t see much, but the weather, the ocean, the food—it was all marvellous. Just crazy beautiful. I’ve always thought about moving out west, but maybe once the whole water/sinking situation comes to some conclusion. I’m glad you guys had such a wonderful trip!

LOL might be a while before they figure out the sinking thing… I feel like every region has its problems, though? Personally I’m aiming for Seattle someday. That’s been my fave so far.
